My local post man has just been charged with theft?

How can I find out if any of the mail was for me or another member of my family? As on at least 2 occasions which I can remember my father never received important letters which were sent to him and had to get them re-sent via recorded delivery. Then there is the missing birthday and anniversary cards which never showed up.
