What can i do about this?

So i have direct tv and skipped a month of paying my bill! Yesterday i found out that they debited my account 700 dollars for early termination fee and equipment! can they do this this has my account in the negative by 585 dollars! Can i change my bank card number and routing number so that this want happen again in the near feauture?
