Do you think I should sue my job?

Ok....sigh. I am a 25 year old girl. I worked as a waitress for 4 years. At the end of 2010, my world was turned upside down. I was working and was getting coffee for my table. I took a misstep into a drain and hurt myself. I thought it was just an ached but I couldnt put weight on the foot. So we rolled down the sock to reveal huge swelling. I was taken to the emergency and was diagnosed with a lisfranc fracture dislocation. I had to have emergency surgery. And now I am homebound. My foot will not be the same and I face future issues. I am collecting workers comp but I've been informed to sue for pain and suffering. I just don't want to cause trouble to my boss that I genuinely like and respect. Any feedback?
