Should I be upset that my ......?

For the past two years my child's father has always brought me a Valentine Day's card for my child (my child is only three so my child's father buys it so my child can give it to me). This year he didn't do it and it bother me. I am not in a relationship with anyone and me and my child's father broke up about three years ago. I asked my child's father why he didn't get the card or anything this year for me. There are millions of cards that say "happy valentines day mom" etc.........I wasn't looking for a romance card from him, but I was looking for him to buy something so that my child can give it to me. Like I said he did it the last two years.......when I asked him why he didn't do it this year.....he said "he didn't feel the need to do it". But, you did it for the past two years. It made me upset because why the change of heart now? We are not together but I do little things for him and say it is from "our child" I do it all the time so I was bothered by him not doing a little something this year. Am I wrong for feeling this way?
