How can i make friends after my bff just moved away?

my best friend just moved away to conneticut and i live in illinois and my other friends all found new friends to hang out with and i am stuck just sitting silent at the lunch table with nobody to talk to. i am also super shy like i get shivery when i say hi to someone i dont know in the hall so is there anything that i could do to make new friends and get over shyness.btw everybody knows me and who i am but they just dont really want to hang out with me thats why i get scared to talk to someone at my school
