If i change my debit card number can a company still charge me?

I recently got into a huge argument at the tanning company I go to, and they wont let me cancle for 35 days, so my plan is to cancle my card and order a new one. They always draft on the 1st of the month, if I change my card number is there any way for them to still charge my bank account?
