Is it normal for colour to sweat out a tattoo when wearing clingfilm at night?

Its on my ankle/foot so I have to wrap it over both and when I woke up there was loadsa pink stuff thro the cling film I no it wasn't blood I have 2 types of pink and it was the darker shading one, would it have leaked it all out it does look diffrent? I've washed it and creamed and covered again but that's what your supossed to do?
