Qualify for chap 7 bankruptcy?

My husband and I make about 58k combined income yearly and have about 15k in credit card debt (we incurred this a couple years ago when we were both doin ok income wise).....thinking about filing a chap 7 due to my husbands 20% pay cut. Also we purchased some new appliances a few months back on credit....could they come after us to get the appliances back?
